What I love most about being at Beacon Hill is that our leadership is incredibly supportive and they genuinely care about me and the people that
work for us.
I am currently a Regional Director for Beacon Hill Technologies with responsibility for the Orange County and Los Angeles offices. I started with Beacon Hill in 2010 as a Senior Account Executive and at the time had recently moved from Florida to Orange County, California, which was a brand new market for both me and Beacon Hill. It was incredibly exciting and extremely challenging at the same time. After hitting some targets and hiring a couple of great people for our core team here in Orange County, I was promoted to Division Director. Two years later, we identified a talented leader for our LA office and since Beacon Hill believes in opening offices and building teams around the right people (versus timelines like most other firms), we opened an office in the LA market. At that point I transitioned into a Regional Director position.
What I love most about being at Beacon Hill is that our leadership is incredibly supportive and they genuinely care about me and the people that work for us. I recall a particularly tough day when I was getting started in Orange County and our President (Andy Wang) called out of the blue. He said he called to say he was thinking about me and that it must be really hard to have moved clear across the country and to be starting up an office in a new market. He said that he was very excited that I was here “planting the flag for Beacon Hill on the West Coast” so to speak. He said that he knew I was the right person for the job and that he was really happy that I was here. Needless to say that turned my day around - but more importantly, it solidified in my mind that I had made a great choice to join Beacon Hill. With someone as thoughtful as Andy leading our company and having Jeff McLaren as an incredibly supportive manager and mentor, I feel like I won the lottery.
