After briefly practicing law… and [working for] two public companies where both client service and employee recognition took a back seat to internal processes and cost control… Beacon Hill was a breath of fresh air... Best career move I have ever made.

After briefly practicing law and interacting closely with the team at a national staffing firm, I was recruited by the firm’s manager to join her team. It was a total leap of faith into a business that a year earlier I did not know existed. I joined that company almost 20 years ago as a sales executive and was quickly promoted into a national sales manager role. I had found a job that I was truly passionate about and enjoyed getting to know people at every level and in every phase of their career. Every day I learned something new from a client, candidate or co-worker.

In 2002, the Managing Director for the legal staffing group of a Fortune 500 staffing company recruited me to join their team managing the Philadelphia Legal office and the company’s largest legal staffing account. Through building a talented team of professionals and actively participating in the Philadelphia Legal Community, we grew and diversified our client and candidate base throughout the Tri-State area becoming the Division’s top producing branch and the go-to legal staffing firm in Philadelphia.

In 2010, John Tarbox, Managing Director of Beacon Hill Legal, approached me about joining Beacon Hill.  I was having success in a comfortable position with a team that I loved and respected, and a client/candidate base that knew us and trusted us with their work and careers, and I was not ready to make a move. However, from the first time I met with John and Andy Wang in person, I knew we would eventually work together. I had never met two people as passionate about our industry and the possibilities for growing a truly unique brand with some of the best in the industry.

John never gave up on me and we talked every few months. So, when the company I was working for went through significant management changes and restructuring that did not allow us to offer the same level of service in the legal staffing space, I reached out to John.

In 2012, we opened the Philadelphia Beacon Hill Legal office with just me in a small office with a computer and a phone. Today we have a team of 8 who have built a great reputation in the market as a successful business – and a staffing firm that goes above and beyond for each other, our candidates, and our clients. I could not be more proud.

Beacon Hill is all about people – our employees, our candidates, and our clients. These are not just words at Beacon Hill, but the fabric of the company. Coming from two public companies where both client service and employee recognition took a back seat to internal processes and cost control; and where management had never run a desk or developed their own business, Beacon Hill was a breath of fresh air. I was offered the freedom to grow within a business that shared my values.

From day one, Beacon Hill supported me in my transition, listened to and respected my ideas and approach, and encouraged me and my team to succeed at every turn. The company is exceptional with its recognition of achievements both large and small, from simple email acknowledgements congratulating us on our successes to awards trips and company wide recognition at the Annual Holiday Party.

In my 15 year career prior to joining Beacon Hill, I had never experienced a company so dedicated to the success of its individual team members as well as the success of the entire enterprise. This starts at the top with Andy Wang and permeates the entire company. Best career move I have ever made – Beacon Hill Staffing is truly a unique and special place.
