The engagement began with a 4 hour strategy and planning meeting with the department heads, and Beacon Hill’s consultant was immediately engaged on a long-term assignment to develop and guide their entire performance strategy. Beacon Hill’s consultant provided strategy and guidance to the highest levels of the IT organization with respect to system and application performance.

Challenge: The project was highly complex, very political, and deadline driven, and was executed upon a customized platform utilizing technologies that were difficult to learn if consultants were anything less than top performers in their respective crafts.

Solution: Our local recruiting team was able to source, qualify, and quickly assemble the entire team over the course of 2 short months.

Result: The client completed this project on time and Beacon Hill was engaged for two other, similar, projects in locations across the country, in which we performed with similar success.

Case Study 5 – Staffing of 15 Contractor SharePoint Project Building SharePoint Delivery Center

Summary: Our client, a large automotive manufacturer, was paying for licenses on multiple technologies, for multiple years, and was looking to build a SharePoint delivery center and an international archive to host documents. We were asked to create a team of SharePoint SMEs with international experience.

Challenge: The client’s needs were very specific and SP 2010 was released only 9 months prior to the engagement, which made it extremely difficult to find solid candidates who possessed both hands-on skills with enterprise level SP 2010 and international experience. We needed to identify more than 15 SharePoint professionals consisting of architects, PMs, SMEs, and developers, and all candidates had to have internal experience and experience in SP 2010 at an enterprise level.

Solution: Our recruiting team was able to identify all the levels of candidates needed. We built SP groups, created forms, and worked “hands on” with all of the SP networks. We were able to meet our client’s demands and filled all the positions. Our contractors were on assignment for more than 12 months and more than half were converted to full-time employees.

Result: We were able to successfully place over 15 SharePoint professionals and help them stand-up and launch the delivery center. Our client completed the project and its objectives on time and within budget. Most of the team members we placed are still employed with the client today and the managers at the client specifically requested us to be an ongoing specialty supplier as a Tier 1.

Case Study 6 – Network Operations Center (NOC) Technicians for Energy Client in the Southeast

Summary: Our client, a substantial energy company in the southeast, was in need of multiple NOC Technicians for a new network monitoring team being established due to rapid expansion.

Challenge: The positions involved shift work and flexibility in work schedules to accommodate the varied schedules of a small, newly developing and growing team, which decreased the pool of viable candidates considerably.

Solution: Through extensive research Beacon Hill Technologies identified multiple companies in the geographic area that relied upon skillset needs and operated with similar work schedules, and through successful recruitment efforts was able to create a pipeline of candidates for client review.

Result: Our client selected multiple Beacon Hill resources to assist in standing up the new NOC environment and our Beacon Hill Technologies contractors quickly established the foundation of a team that continues to successfully grow their presence within their organization.

Case Study 7 – Team of Developers to Stabilize a Failed Website Launch at Packaged Goods Company

Summary: Our client, a consumer packaged goods company, needed a team of developers to stabilize a failed launch of their most highly trafficked website. The client hired a third party vendor to move their website from a SharePoint environment to a Sitecore environment. After spending millions of dollars with the third party company, the website launched and completely failed. There were hundreds of open tickets within the first couple of days during their busiest time of the year. They needed Sitecore developers to immediately stabilize this website and ensure this would not happen with the second website that they had not yet started to build.

Challenge: The urgency was high as the company was in the height of their busy season and the website needed to be stabilized as soon as possible. The infrastructure supporting the site was not properly assessed by the third party and the scope of the project and requirements were not clearly defined. The client needed a team who could make an immediate impact.

Solution: Our local recruiting team was able to identify senior Sitecore resources, experts in a very niche skill set, and pique their interest in the project as well as the client’s interest in the resources, very quickly. In addition to the development resources, we brought on a project manager to implement Agile and create project plans and monitor timeline and budget. As the project proceeded, Beacon Hill was able to identify gaps and proactively present contractors to fill them who were on-boarded by the client shortly thereafter.

Result: The client was able to stabilize their website and launch their second website successfully. They have extended the contract for the Beacon Hill resources twice since the start of the project and have engaged each resource in other projects within the department.

Challenge: The positions required very specific experience with an obscure billing system and required individuals to possess a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry.

Solution: Our Beacon Hill Technologies recruiting team was able identify candidates, both locally and nationwide, with the billing system and telecommunications experience required and staffed the entire project.

Result: The acquisition and merger of the billing systems occurred seamlessly and we were successful in helping our client avoid all issues which might have occurred within the customer base of both companies.

Case Study 9 – Engaged by Senior Vice-President of Enterprise Applications to Fill BI/Data Modeling Architect Position

Summary - Beacon Hill Technologies had recently opened an office in a major Midwestern market and had an introduction to the Senior Vice-President of Enterprise Applications for a prominent local company. The Senior Vice-President of Enterprise Applications offered to add Beacon Hill to the company’s vendor list for IT suppliers if we filled a high-priority, yet difficult-to-fill, BI/Data Modeling Architect position.

Challenge: The BI/Data Modeling Architect position required very specific knowledge of analytics and reporting tools which were not well-known in the market. Despite having 13 staffing vendors in the client’s staffing program, the position had gone unfilled for over 6 months and our client was very frustrated with the lack of success by the resources in the market. A key element of the job requirement was a unique Reporting tool used by a limited number of candidates, most of them based in Europe and Pacific Rim.

Solution: Beacon Hill Technologies’ local recruiting team devised a recruitment strategy that included a creative approach to accessing the talent base possessing the unique skill-set across the globe. Within 48 hours we were able to locate and deliver a candidate with the proper skill-set, who the client today calls the ‘perfect fit’.

Result: Our resource has played a key role on several high profile projects which have added millions of dollars of revenue to our client’s top line. Beacon Hill Technologies is now a preferred and “turn to” partner for this customer. We have actually gained two other major clients who were referred to us by this very satisfied client.
