Case Study 1 - Project Management: Active Clearances Required for Large Government Integrator Spanning Multiple Locations

Summary: Our client, a large government integrator, needed contract staff immediately in multiple regions to support a large pilot program with Homeland Security.

Challenge: Contractors needed active security clearances in multiple disciplines, in multiple locations, with a short staffing period. Contractors were needed to work in non-traditional locations.

Solution: Beacon Hill’s Government Services Division was able to identify and recruit candidates in multiple geographic regions with active clearances. We identified other government contracts that were coming to an end in the area and were able to place contractors in multiple roles including testers, developers, and project managers. We were able to staff these positions immediately with our expansive national support structure.

Result: Our client was able to meet deliverables and timeline to maximize their profit through filling billets with the government on this contract.

Case Study 2 - Ongoing Support for Large Federal Financial Agency

Summary: Our client, a large government contractor, needed ongoing support for a large federal financial agency in 3 locations. They were limited to the amount of vendors they could use and turned to Beacon Hill to fulfill high volume positions in several different areas..

Challenge: They were having trouble finding candidates with a clearance and an excellent financial history.

Solution: Beacon Hill Government Services was able to successfully screen and staff a large number of positions in all 3 locations.

Result: We were named one of 3 top vendors after proving our success. The client was able to maintain contractors in each seat and maximize their billing to the government.

Case Study 3 - Surge Support for Enterprise Services Support Contract- DISA

Summary: Our client, a Tribal American owned small business was awarded a large Task Order under a 5 year long IDIQ contract at Defense Information Systems Agency to handle all of the user support for a large Enterprise level Support Services contract.

Challenge: Our client needed to staff a 24/7 Service Desk with staff possessing active security clearances and a high level of technical proficiencies in Desktop and Server Support. Our client needed this team screened, hired, and on-boarded in a rapid fashion. They were not meeting prior service level agreements and the call resolution metrics needed to be improved.

Solution: Beacon Hill’s Government Services team was able to fully vet a team of over 30 high-quality desktop and server support engineers and handle all of the clearance transfers within 30 days.

Result: Beacon Hill’s team was fully operational within the 30 day window, providing high quality support and covering a 24/7 window of operation. Many of Beacon Hill’s team members were quickly promoted to supervisory and management level roles. Our client has been able to increase its contract scope with its Government client.

Case Study 4 - Data Security Analyst to Support Multiple Civilian Agencies with C&A Assessments

Summary: Our client, a leading provider of information technology and Cyber security solutions, needed to provide a team of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) Analysts to support a multi-agency program requiring active security clearances.

Challenge: The Department of Health and Human Services needed demonstrated IT security experience conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration assessments, web site assessment, and database assessments. In addition, they needed analysts who were savvy enough to work in a customer facing environment.

Solution: Beacon Hill Government Services was able to build a team of highly respected analysts who provided in-depth knowledge of laws, directives, orders, etc. pertaining to IT security, and directing Federal government agencies. Our team also had the ability to deliver and conduct audits and reviews to re-certify the adequacy and proper functioning of security safeguards and to identify any vulnerability that could impair security of sensitive data or valuable resources of SA&TT customers.

Result: HHS was not only able to audit all of their systems in question, but was able to use our client’s team to provide the same level of IV&V services to other civilian and DOD Agencies under the contract, generating revenue and accolades for the agency by the quality of the work performed.

Case Study 5 - Data Analysis for Integration of Asset Forfeiture Systems across Multiple Law Enforcement Agencies

Summary: Our client, a large systems integrator, has been supporting the Department of Justice on an asset forfeiture tracking system. Another law enforcement agency that accessed that system needed to understand the interdependencies between their internal systems and the systems that were feeding data to the asset forfeiture tracking system.

Challenge: Beacon Hill needed to identify a world class analyst with strong data analytics skills in addition to an in-depth knowledge of SQL programming, IDEA advanced data analysis software, SharePoint, and MS-Access. This individual also needed an active security clearance.

Solution: Beacon Hill’s Government Services team was able to retain a subject matter expert in Data Analysis with strong problem solving and decision making skills.

Result: The Beacon Hill consultant hired for this important role was not only able to offer the DOJ, and other partner law enforcement agencies, valuable insight into trends and anomalies within their data, but our consultant was able to be the “eyes and ears” for our client, within a new potential client, helping to increase their contract presence and value.
