We are assisting our client in the search for a Manager of SEC Reporting to lead the corporate financial reporting function and serve as a technical accounting expert for the Company. This is a high exposure position within the company, reporting to the Assistant Controller.
Responsibilities include: • Prepare and present financial statements, including quarterly and annual filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC); • Ensure that financial information is in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and is in compliance with SEC reporting rules and regulations; • Research and implement new accounting pronouncements, including documenting and communicating their effect on our client or any of its subsidiaries; • Maintain our client’s financial accounting policies; • Manager technical accounting areas, including complex transactions and purchase accounting; • Document, design, and test internal controls related to corporate financial reporting to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting • CPA • 6 to 9 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably with significant audit experience serving publicly held companies at a Big 4 accounting firm. • The ability to analyze complex accounting issues and transactions is important to success in this position. • The qualified candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical and organizational skills, the ability to prioritize responsibilities and a high degree of accuracy for success in this position.
