Our Alpharetta, GA client is in need of a Sr. Java Developer to join their team to participate in the full lifecycle of software development. The Sr. Java Developer will work with Business Analysts in translating business requirements into high level and/or Object Oriented design specifications and then will translate design documents into software specifications for the development teams. Decisions for the best design and implementation strategies to ensure quality and efficiency will be required. This role will require hands-on development of applications and features in addition to mentoring more junior software engineers and developers.
The Sr. Java Developer must conduct project design and code reviews as well as work with QA Analyst to ensure proper test plans have been developed. Must be able to respond to technical direction that has been given by Architects as well as provide system architecture or design documents. Must also provide technical design support to architects and managers and support other internal development teams as needed.
Experience:
• 8-10 years development experience in full life-cycle development
• 5+ years experience as Senior or Lead S/W Engineer or Architect
• Proficient in Java and J2EE(EJB, JMS, JNDI, Servlet/JSP, SOAP)
• Other required key languages: GWT, Hibernate, Web Service, HTML, UNIX shell
• 7 years development experience in Oracle or other relational databases
• 5 years in JBoss
• Project level leadership and Object Oriented design methodology experience
• Self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly responsible
• Must be a faster learner and multi-tasker
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong communications skills
