Fantastic opportunity to join a thriving and innovative biotech company located in Boston’s northwest suburbs! As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for driving the monthly revenue recognition process; preparing financial reports to include consolidation reports, variance analyses, etc.; preparing forecasts and budgets for business units; identifying trends which impact revenue recognition, burn rate and profitability; implementing improved reporting tools and financial applications; providing business case analysis for capital investments; providing leadership and guidance to and developing your staff; and helping to form project initiatives as well as participating in special projects. The qualified Finance Manager must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance; MBA and/or CPA preferred; 5-7 years of relevant professional history, including managerial experience to a team of 3-4+ people; experience with revenue, G/L, cost experience and familiarity with SOX related process controls; exceptional communication, presentation, problem-solving and analytical thinking skills; and strong technical knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Experience with service contract revenue recognition and related IS tools is strongly preferred, as is pharmaceutical industry experience.
