Our client, located in Boca Raton, FL, is in search of a Sr. Database Developer for a 9 month contract opportunity.
The database platform is proprietary based software so a strong grasp in OOD and database concepts is required. Candidate must be open to learning this software and using it 100% of the time to complete all related tasks.
· Perform and/or lead software development and support tasks as part of the development team.
· Participate and/or lead requirements analysis, engineering sizings, analysis/design/implementations.
· Be able to create and articulate design/implementation options and tradeoffs to peers, tech leads, and management.
· Work with a large team focused on providing heavy data analysis, data modeling, data trending, ETL functions, and data linking tasks.
Requirements:
· This role will be mostly focused around ETL related functions along with data analysis and modeling functions.
· Must have a solid background in Object Oriented Development as well as Database Development.
· Object Oriented Development (OOD) can be C++, Java, or any other related tool.
· Database background can be with Sybase, SQL Server, MYSQL, or Oracle.
· Must have 5+ years of experience as a Sr. Level Developer and Data Analyst.
· Must be able to provide high level understanding and capabilities in data architecture, Data Analysis, Data Modeling, and Data Linking.
· Must have a solid background in ETL related tasks.
· Any experience in Informatica or similar type tools are a plus.
· Must have great analysis skills as well as the ability to communicate the analytical results to business and non-technical users.
· Must be able to identify data trends, risks related to trends, and link data from a variety of sources.
